Chartered Accountant. Joined MTI in 2002 having worked in senior financial and operational roles in industry, latterly with an early stage venture backed maritime e-procurement start-up.

Responsible for all finance and support functions within MTI as well as assisting investee companies as necessary in resolving financial and commercial issues.

Mark Rahn     [email Mark]
Investment Manager

Mark was awarded a PhD by Manchester University and then spent two years as a photonics post-doctoral researcher there. He co-founded a University spin-out, sparking his passion for all aspects of the commercialisation of technology. He learned a great deal about the funding, marketing and development of technology start-ups and broadened that further with an MBA from Manchester Business School.

Mark subsequently worked as a consultant, researching interesting aspects of the early stage VC industry before becoming an investor. Joined MTI in 2008.
