John started his career at Domino Printing Sciences, after completing his PhD in Physics, quickly becoming Director of Development running a team of 90 engineers.

He then joined Plastic Logic as VP Engineering where he developed the technology that emerged from the Cavendish labs into a robust manufacturing process. In 2006 he became acting CEO and raised over $120m

in venture capital to build a 10,000m2 factory in Dresden to produce e-book readers.

In May 2008 he joined DataLase Ltd as CEO where he has re-structured the company and changed the business model, leading to a significant increase in sales.
